Although Personal Plumbing had fewer reviews, they offered the best price compared to the other two companies I had contacted. The entire experience felt personal and positive, and I'm glad I chose them - they will be my go-to plumber for future needs.
The plumber did a good job with the water heater replacement, but it would have been appreciated if they had cleaned up their workspace afterward. I had to deduct a star due to the aggressive sales tactics, as the representative insisted I also purchase an expensive $8,000 water purification system, even absurdly claiming that the municipal water in Rancho Santa Margarita is unsafe to drink.
In March 2023, I experienced a slab leak and contacted Personal Plumbing. They diagnosed a hot water leak in the slab and damage to the sewer line, proposing to charge over $4,000 for 10 feet of sewer line sleeving and over $15,000 for repiping the water lines. Fortunately, I decided to seek additional quotes and found another company that could complete the repiping for around $8,000 - nearly half the price quoted by Personal Plumbing. I waited over a year to write this review, and there have been no issues with my sewer line. I would advise caution when dealing with this company, as they appear to recommend unnecessary and overpriced repairs.
